W3C validation
W3C is World Wide Web Consortium. Its mission statement is “to lead the World wide web to its full potential by developing protocols and guidelines that ensure long term growth”. To make your website W3C complaint, your website need to meet certain defined standards and guidelines. W3C has published more than 110 standards, called W3C Recommendations. By following them your website can become search engine friendly since the spiders can crawl your webpages more efficiently. After W3C validation we can get to know the errors in the webpages too.
Copyscape
Copyscape is an online service that detects online plagiarism (Text being copied with some minor changes and then declaring it as original). Thereby web owners can check duplicity of the content of their webpages. By simply typing the URL of the page, web owners can detect the cases of content theft and content fraud in the resulting web pages. This service has proved to be a milestone in web technology.
Copyscape provides two set of services:
- Copysentry: Monitors the web and send email notification if duplicate contents are found
- Copyscape Premium: Verifies the originality of the content purchased by publisher
